Poor Mans 3D Text Creator

- Make sure the Drawing Menu is open and click on the insert Word Art icon.
- Choose the style that you would like to use.
- Pick the font size that you want to use, To make a 375 x 60 pixel banner with 13 letters, I would use a size 36 font, You will have to use some trial and error [It pays to write down the style/font and size you use for later reference].
- Type the text that you want to use.
- Click once on the text to select it.
- Right click on it and select copy from the menu.
- Minimise MS Word and open Photoshop.
- Click on file/new and name the graphic [ ALL lower case ].
- Change graphic size and click OK.
- Make sure that the arrow tool is highlighted, go to EDIT/ PASTE.
- Go to FILE/ EXPORT/ GIF89aExport/ OK.
- Choose where you wish to store the graphic, before saving change the .GIF extension to .gif.
- Close Photoshop without saving.
- If you wish the graphic to have a transparent background, reopen Photoshop and the graphic.
- Go once again to FILE/ EXPORT/ GIF89aExport/, Click the background with the eye dropper [you may have to click on the BG several times to clean up/change the colour, then click OK.
- Change the .GIF extension to .gif and save, click YES to replace file.
- Your poor man 3D text/transparent gif is ready to be placed in the HTML code of your web page.
